You lot just have no sense of humor.
In the 40k Universe the Emperor of Mankind is a shrivelled husk kept alive for centuries by cannibalising the psychic powers of millions of people, tended to by crazed machine cultists and with vast armies that the Imperium uses to crush anything unhuman and impose martial law in crowded hive cities while the gods of Chaos and the terrifying hive fleets of the Tyranids seek to destroy and consume everything humanity stands for.

You know, the kind of role model that should be emulated.

There's a lot to be said, for a man who will dedicate his dying breath to saving his people. Who will prolong his dying breath indefinitely, to protect his people in perpetuity. Especially in the face of objective and unrelenting evil.

It takes a special kind of monster, to paint the Emperor of Mankind as the villain of the 40k universe. So which faction do you favor? The Eldar? The Orks? The Tyranids?

No, let me guess: It's Chaos. Slaanesh. That sexual liberty, to indulge in every depraved act, no matter how destructive it is. How dare the Emperor dedicate his undead corpse to the work of holding your vision back, for the good of humanity?

You need to get out more.

That's the point of the 40k universe. They're all villains. There are no good guys. There are only monsters.

Speaking as someone who had never heard of the stuff you're expounding about as if it had relevance to anything and weren't fantasy fiction, I must say I would have been tempted to say the same thing, but I do not think we would be meaning it the same way.

I would suggest that, however knowledgeable, Arthwollipot's response and theprestige's retort give the joke, such as it was, more gravitas than it deserves.

For the record, when I played (which was a long time ago - I played the original Rogue Trader edition) I played Eldar. And the reason I played Eldar is because they looked cool.

I don't play kids games so don't know anything about it apart from all the money spent on toy soldiers.
