I just learned that this is a thing that exists.

A variation of the practice that is making waves is called the Goat Yoga. Goat yoga incorporates animal therapy where yogis exercise and meditate in the presence of goats. It is a novel way of fusing the healing benefits of yoga and goat therapy.

I assume that stretching (yoga) probably has some health benefits.
The goats though?

Goats are cool. Yoga, as a fitness activity, has some health benefits. Doing it in the presence of animals is probably fun and adds to the experience.

Besides the novelty and petting-zoo-ish fun factor, animal-assisted therapy is a real thing with evidence supporting it. I doubt anyone participating in these yoga sessions are benefiting from it in that way, as I doubt they're structured like actual animal therapy sessions (so obviously, I'm not a fan of them branding it as such, but making outrageous claims is kind of par for the course with yoga), but I have a hard time finding fault with a fun way to engage people in exercise. If anything, I'd assume it's safer than hot yoga. And honestly, hanging out with goats might even motivate me to do some yoga.

Goats are awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if goats invented yoga, just to have one more thing to be smug about.

Eff that noise. Have you not looked into their dead, rectangular-pupiled soulless and evil eyes?

Plus they smell like a punctured can of rancid tumors.

Why anyone would want to be within stench radius of these creatures is beyond me.
