First, greetings, I'm new around here, yada yada yada.

I'm not sure of the normal level of credulity at rednova.com, but this is absurd. These people remind me of the Bible Code kooks. Unfortunately, my background is in astrophysics, not the deep dark voodoo level of statistics they use to justify their results. I'd like to get the thoughts of some "professional" skeptics, but mine boil down to this: There's always a terrible event going on somewhere that you can attribute a spike in your black box to. They claim to have discounted this statistically, but don't explain how in any way that I can comprehend. The "precognition" effect is a natural result of this; can't find a recent terrible event to tie your spike to? Pick the next on! You're predicting the future!
Anyone with enough background in statistics to be able to explain this stuff in words a lowly Ph.D. astrophysicist could understand would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.
