gary schwartz and mediums

Good evening Woodwater.
I must admit I have not clicked on your link. Care to tell me why I should?

It's been discussed here, but I don't recall the upshot.

I do know that at this point, Pam Blizzard is happy with neither Randi nor Schwartz.

Would you like me to quote samples of what I think are relevant sections? Or would you care to do that yourself...

VERITAS: Pam Blizzard is a fan [not fanatical] of John Edwards. She is very impressed with what he does, and for good reason.

Years back, when I discussed John Edward with Pam Blizzard, she was none too pleased. In fact, she threatened to show up at my doorstep with her gun-totin' Marine husband, because I dared point out what her hero, John Edward, was really doing.

Pam Blizzard has built a nice little cult of her own, where she rules her fellow believers with an iron fist. She is as fanatical as they come.

Funny, I've told her much the same thing many times, the worst she ever threatened me with was banning from her forum.

Something tells me there's more to this story, Claus...

Well, saying someone "is a fan, but not fanatical" is fairly silly, since "fan" is short for "fanatic."

It's like saying "addition is math, but not mathematical." :boggled:

Not really. Pam Blizzard has a habit of blowing her top from time to time...which several of her (ex)supporters have felt...

Fanatic, as in "can only see one way, and will permit no others to think otherwise".

I doubt all that many Britney Spears fans will go so far as to try and prevent other people from thinking that BS is a talent-ridden, sucked-down popsicle.

Randi’s unfortunate history of documented trickery and deceptions.

That's the funniest thing I've hear all day! A bit like accusing Ford of making cars!

I can't take anyone seriously who refers to themselves as VERITAS.

Come on, In Vino Veritas -> The name of a healer in one of my FRP campaigns. Usually referred to as "vinny". Buddy to "Earl Shibe", another healer.

can you stick to my question pleae?

Hi woodwater. I'm not sure what question you're asking, so I'll just offer my personal opinion about Dr. Gary Schwartz, which is this: he's a fraud who whores his academic credentials by conducting bogus experiments that are so flawed that they'd shame a 6th grader, then writes books about the results so he can sell them to the gullible, which he's been doing so agressively that it's even angered his erstwhile psychic buddies. Randi and Schwartz had some correspondence in the past (mentioned in an archived commentary I believe, if you're truly interested) in which as I recall Schwartz agreed to send Randi his raw data, then reneged on the deal. Dr Schwartz apparently has no interest in being tested by Randi, despite the million dollar payday that would be as easy as breathing if what he claims is true. I used to think Schwartz might be one of those misguided souls who wants to believe something so badly it clouds their better judgement. But I've come to believe he's just another thief who deserves no more respect than a purse snatcher.

Not sure if all that answers your question, but it makes me feel better...

"In Vino Veritas" used to be my sig here, and on one forum, it still is.

In Vino Veritas - in wine there is truth.

Yep - you need to be pissed to see Schwartz's truth! :boggled:
