Funny TAM memory?

I was right there for the coffee creamer accident! In fact, you can a small portion of the edge of my glasses to the left of the photo, in the middle of Matt's torso.

That was pretty darn funny.

By the way, he got a little of the creamer on me, too. But, not nearly as much as Paperskater.

Well, I think it was at TAM 7, late, late Sunday night (more like Monday Morning kind of late), I was in the Delmar Bar, let's say a little bit drunk, and Jamy Ian Swiss starts going close-up card tricks for me and a few others there. Of course he's playing it for laughs, and I'm right there, trying to spot him doing the moves, failing horribly, of course, and just laughing harder and harder as it goes on.

Eventually, he asks if we know any tricks. I tell him, "I know the absolutely worst card trick in the world!", so of course he asks me to do it.

I won't describe the trick (although I might do it for you if you ask nicely enough when I'm drunk enough), but let's just say it absolutely killed. Jamy and the other guys at the table were just killing themselves laughing at exactly how bad a trick it was.

So there's that.

Watching people eat musk sticks...

Actually I thought they were OK but other apparently not.

Is there an equivalently controversial or unliked candy which we can set upon the Australians?

Depends on your point of view

I remember someone fainting at the welcome party. I think it was in the Flamingo, but the location isn't important. Fortunately, she wasn't injured. But for whatever reason, my first thought (because Randi was either speaking or about to speak) was that she'd fainted due to being in Randi's presence. This, I guess, is why I'm glad I took up law, and not medicine!

we are going to have FREE NECCO SKEPTIC WAFERS at the forum welcome table. A wonderful person has donated them. They have skeptic sayings on them. we can give THOSE to the Australians. "yeah, no kidding, it's really a candy, not a communion wafer."

Also we will have skeptic fortune cookies. Get them while they last.

NECCO wafers have always been one of my favorite candies :D

Funny TAM memory. TAM 6, it involved a recent Med school graduate and a rather persistent....... working girl.

TAM5

Penn was talking on stage and a baby in the back of the room started crying.
Penn said "Is that my child?"
"No" came from the answer from the back of the room.
"No? You tell me in front of all these people?"

Here's a funny memory:

About four hours ago I logged into jetBlue to print my boarding pass. It wouldn't let me. That's weird. So I checked my itinerary carefully and oh holy crap I had made the reservation for Wednesday PM instead of AM. Same time, just wrong half of the day. Why oh why don't they use 24-hour time?

Don't ask me how much it cost to fix the problem.

For the last three years, one of the little perks of TAM has been getting to munch on a few musk sticks while chatting with the Australian Skeptics.

There was this one time I asked a girl in the elevator up for coffee... no, wait, that was a different conference...
