After the recent Kennedy kookery, my already mixed opinion of this network got even lower. However, today the network's web page has an editorial about the groundless push for renewing the Clinton gun ban.

My only contention with this article is that at least one of the banned semi-autos can be easily converted to full auto which should make it an ATF class 3 firearm.
However, the author is right on the mark. Carl Levin and the others are just plain wrong. We have empirical evidence and the evidence says the ban is useless.
Of course, I always though Clinton's most clever move was the ban which banned guns that gun enthusiasts don't like and which the anti-gun crowd don't know enough about to realize they got chumpchanged. Clinton was the gun buyers best friend in a way since the ban gave the anti-gun crowd a "victory" (in name only) to keep them happy .
