Kochanski
Illuminator
Just an idea, not original, taken from the GenCon Stink party (you have to know GenCon or gamers to know why it is named thus) but there is a little game they play called the passport game, that is ideal for getting to know people at the start of a con.
For this game people are given little passport books with 3 slots on each page and each page has a specific theme, like attended 2+ TAMs or flew to TAM, with each page's theme being worth a certain amount of points. Each person is also given a sheet of stickers with their name on it (or forum name), and they get a little sticker to put on themselves to show they are playing the game. The idea then is to go around collecting name stickers in your passport and to fill as many slots as possible, one rule being you can accept only one sticker from each person, and when you have used up your stickers and your book as full as you can get it (bear in mind that there are more slots than stickers for each person, so negotiation can be key) you hand in your book and the person or persons with the most slots filled in their books (most points) gets a prize of some sort.
It is a very good way to get to know people if you have not attended TAM before or even if you have and it is a lot of fun too.
So, any thoughts guys?
