Financial software suggestions?

If the laptop still works can you plug in an external keyboard and use this to transfer it? I used the free version to transfer something, can't recall what but it did work.

Worth a shot. My guess is that it won't be able to get all the registry entries. I suspect when I try it on the new PC, it will demand registration, and it won't work.

I doubt that you will find an accounting package that features bank feeds and doesn't charge you a monthly fee for the privilege.

I had one for many years. That's what Quicken did.

I always wondered a bit about the economics of the situation, but the information Quicken got from the bank was no more, and in fact less, than I could get using a browser from their web page, and that's free.

I don't think the bank is charging for the data in the bank feed.

Around the office we always said (with few exceptions) you can transfer data but not programs. Different OS's make it easier but as a heavy windows user I haven't found any good transfer software for programs. Belarc can get keys for most programs, though not office or windows, but it won't transfer them.

I'm a little confused though, I'm fairly novice with Quicken, but aren't the older versions local? I thought the only reason they connected to the internet was for updates from Quicken?

Maybe I'm wrong.

I seem to remember trying to keep using my older version, and it eventually did not allow connections to do what I bought it for.
