Far Left & Far Right Political Directions Discussion

The actual far left is not capable of cooperating to the extent of forming a goverment.

Depending on which far left vision you end up with problems range from a lack of freedom (maoism say) to a lack of an ability to carry out large projects (localism). More rapaidly you hit issues with competing in a global economy.

And then theres China

I would say a difference between moderate and extreme liberal or conservative could be identified in whether they perceive the bulk of the other side's voters and advocates as mistaken or actually malicious/dangerous.

Still the Far Left discussion on news media is outweighing the far right. Especially with the news of this shooting, it's interesting to hear talk radio. You have to wonder: If this shooter was a muslim & had family members from a mosque in Arizona, would he be mentally ill freak or a terrorist?

On the opinion panel discussions on network tv, it's becoming this running gag that somehow the left wing has the platform to dominate the culture. I understand what conservatives & those coming from the right are saying in this thread, but let's be completely honest. The Left wing does not have the infrastructure to turn up the volume as much as the right wing does. You can hem and haw about this but the corporate media is always timid on criticism of Right Wing Media. Just flip the dial on talk radio sometime & you will wonder if Left Wing is preparing to cook the children of our nation & serve it as socialist soup.

Interesting...

I would choose Van Jones for Far Left

I'd probably agree with you about Ron Paul as being Far Right, though I don't think he's an anarchist but more of an isolationist and someone I disagree with on many issues.

Ron Paul would never qualify as far right since he is pro-drug.

Well in the UK at least the far right in the form of the BNP and the national front actualy gets a fair number of votes and wins the odd local council seat. The far left would probably be the Socialist Workers Party (they get a few votes) and whats left of respect (rapidly imploding). I suppose there is the Socialist Labour Party but again a tiny group.

A true far right movement or individual today has a racial or nationalist element to it.
