Faith at work

We have won -- religion is now nothing more than a harmless lifestyle choice.

I actually think that this is an incorrect interpretation. Religion is sufficiently non-pervasive today that it is no longer the default assumption. Today, those people who are actively religious form special groups, which distinguishes them from average, other sorts of people.

I think what it really shows is the centrality of work in people's lives. So much of your life is controlled by work that if there is anything else in your life that is important, you find a way to work it into your workplace. A previous generation that wanted a Bible study group would do it in the community or, of course, their church. Today, work is the only community, so they try to work it into the workplace.
