Examples of UFO sightings solved?

Hi there, long time no see UFOs.

No, seriously:

Since some people here have discussed this topic ad infinitum, I hope you can help me with the most memorable examples of UFO sightings that involved mass delusion people claiming 'they were aliens in a spaceship' (duh, what else can a UFO be) and later a more or less clear cut explanation was found (I know, they still were aliens, darn it!).

I'm trying to win an argument. Well, at least I want to provide good examples of the different type of available explanations that already have been given. The more variety, the better.
