End times?

take a look at what I had found through rapture ready http://www.buzzardhut.net/index/htm/ProphecyRapture.htm and http://raptureready.com/soap/worline4.html so just what is the best what to debunk these kinds of claims?
What is there to debunk?

The Bible says vague things. Also, bad things happen and have always happened in history. The rest is meaning grafted onto unrelated events by people who see what they want to see and ignore everything else.

Result? ENDTIMES!

Bulletproof, right?

Why do you keep starting threads about these incredibly stupid websites?

I'm genuinely curious. They are obvious nonsense and not worth spending any time on.

I am just disturbed at the way they think that is all, that how could so many people think like that, it just distrubs me and makes my head hurt

Just don't worry about it--there are always going to be gullible people who will buy into the craziest ideas. That does not mean there is any merit to them.

There are still people who think the world is flat, and websites pushing that idea. But it is very stupid to spend any time worrying about idiotic stuff like that. Same thing with many of the websites you start threads about.

Just relax. Avoid the crazy.

well on that rapture ready website one of the fundies buzzardhut claims that even infidels like us known that something is up like animals before an earthquake....sigh

...and you know that is not true, so why do you worry about it??

I don't wanna debunk these claims. I hope they're true!

The problem with all these "end times" predictions is that people throughout history have thought that they were living in the end times. It goes back literally thousands of years.

These aren't "the end times". Doesn't mean these coming times are gonna be nearly as much fun as a barrel of monkeys. I personally doubt they're going to be much fun at all, look at Europe for a preview.. But "end times"? Nah.

I know what you mean actually. since I started reading message boards, I have been astonished, and would never have believed, that there are so many people with entrenched, apparently immovable religious ideas which totally fly in the face of the factual knowledge we have today. it is sad. However, being an optimist, I do feel that religious beliefs will slowly become far less influential because of facts, but not in my lifetime I'm afraid.

Sorry if I don't see that as optimism. I feel the "Us vs Them" mentality is what keeps us all apart, not any particular religious, philosophical, or political belief. This is a matter of attitude and opinion toward fellow man, much deeper than all that other nonsense.. Else I'm the crazy one.

Where do you live, if I may ask?
