Dutch "torture chambers" found

"In another, they located pruning shears, scalpels and balaclavas. " Nasty.

"Dutch police said the containers were found before they were used, and potential victims were now in hiding. " So they were built for specific people?

My parents have an antique dentist's chair, seemingly identical to the one in the photo. They got it, decades ago, out of the basement of an old medical clinic my Mom worked at.

Anyway, it's for sale. Kind of a white elephant sort of thing that is kind of cool but takes up a lot of space. The electrics still work, it goes up and down and has an attachment for a lamp. DIY torture chair, if anyone wants it.:boxedin:

Scary thing is how many sociopaths are among us with urges like this.

In my eyes they are on the level of murderers even if they haven't killed anybody.

Is it safe?

I just finally watched that a few years ago, although I heard about the dental torture when I was in college (the first time). I read that they ended up cutting a lot of that scene because it was deemed too disturbing, but a still from the cut footage was used for a publicity poster.

The next time I visited my dentist, I asked him if he'd ever seen it. He said he hadn't, but that he was familiar with the plot.

They could probably get a good deal of money for it, if they market it to BDSM enthusiasts.

I've seen them used in bars as a novelty, where they mix a drink by just pouring the liquors directly into your mouth as you sit way back.

Wins! I knew someone would get it.

The chick I took to see that when it first came out had to leave the cinema. I let her go - far too good a movie, and certainly gave you the idea that dental torture would be a very good way of inflicting extreme pain.

The other torture chambers discovered looked more DSM-style torture, but I'd be staying well away from that dentist's chair!
