I'm not sure, but from reading this article and other articles regarding the Y chromosome, it just means that like the Y chromosome, additional active genetic makeup is being found in the second sex chromosome.
While both men and women have a copy of the X and Y chromosome, women have a second X chromosome that, up to now, scientists thought was inactive.
