The Infinitely Prolonged
So, who's going to Dragon Con this year?!
Me, me, me, meeeee!!!
Who else?!
What I like to call "Mardi Gras for Geeks" is not merely about science fiction and fantasy (though, that is most of it). It also includes a track of Skeptical talks, panels, and other events!

It's on Sept. 2nd to Sept. 5th, 2016; in Atlanta, GA.
More information about the whole con: http://www.dragoncon.org/
More info about SkepTrack at the con: http://skeptics.dragoncon.org/
In the past, the convention used to be preceded by a "Star Party": an astronomy-lover's gathering put on by the Atlanta Skeptics. But, unfortunately, there is no such event, this year.
If anyone knows of any other cool events for skeptics or science enthusiasts, that are going on, for Thursday evening before the convention, please let me know!
I see there is a Drinking Skeptically scheduled for Friday evening, but I am not sure if I can make that, since it's already in the heart of Dragon Con proper.
