Cool, Ron (oh and call me Dave if you'd like).
It's just odd. I guess I'm just looking at this from a different POV.
We're the power. Not Fetzer. Fetzer's a crazy lunatic, looking for soapboxes to push his idiotic agendas. From my POV, Fetzer should be begging us (you, Hardfire, etc.) for the chance to promote his lunacy from a public platform. It's his books he wants to sell. It's his fans and donaters and followers he wants to impress. If they believe in him so deeply and are so confident in his pronouncements - SHOULDN'T THEY BE THE ONES FRONTING HIS SPEAKING AND DEBATING FEES?
Another thing. I think Hardfire is a terrific thing and I'd like to see it picked up by advertising as a permanent debate platform. That assessment is due mostly to your skills as a debate moderator. You were so deft in the 2 debates I saw - Jameson and the LC boys - that I never even guessed at your politics!

Which is terrific.
Maybe you can get sponsors? That means ads, but that's the tried and true path.
Another thought. Screw Fetzer. Have a Hardfire presentation, with you and Mark and whomever else in a panel - and present the 9/11 material the way WE want to do it. No twoofers. Do it as a series of half-hour shows until everything has been covered to a reasonable degree of satisfaction.
Twoofers of varying stripes muck things up. You know what Fetzer will do if he ever gets his shot on Hardfire? He'll take the show where he wants it to go. Remember - he is extremely experienced at this. It's not like tenderfooted twentysomething white guys who have limited life experience. Fetzer's an old dog - been at this a long time.
Just musing. Carry on....
