Sooner or later, Usurper Trump is gonna f-up again and do something bad enough to warrant it. Will the House (assuming the legitimate government under the Democrats still holds) impeach again, or just throw their hands up in disgust and let the tyrant reign mostly unopposed?

Yeah, next Democrat that gets into the White House.
Are you assuming some sort of retaliation on the part of the Republicans?

You would think Republicans would be smarter than that. Impeachment backfired on Clinton because people recognized that the impeachment proceedings were based on a questionable premise. (Yes, perjury is a crime, but it was regarding sex.) However, we aren't getting the same sort of blowback with Trump's impeachment, because Trump is an individual who has actually committed serious crimes.

If the republicans decide to impeach someone, they had better ensure that the person did something significant to warrant it. Yet Obama ran a relatively clean administration, and the Democrats do seem to be better at picking candidates with decent morality.

Doesn’t matter. President Trump now is free from removal from office as Republican Senators have decided he can do no wrong.

A Democratic President will be immediately impeached and removed if the majority senators are Republican for the high crime of being a Democrat.

I assume the revolution you're surely planning for will happen before then.

And if this happens are you going to do anything about it other then bitch about ti on the Internet. Willing to pledge your life, your fortune and your sacred honor to fight this?

I think we have some "disaster porn" going on here.
If it's as dire as a couple of poster indicate, pretty clear there is no peaceful solution to this and the logical thing to do is start stocking up on guns and ammo.
But iMHO we arejust seeing a lot of venting and ,frankly, I suspect a couple of the most radical are windbags.

You know what? I hope so. I hope the House Dems spend the next 3-4 years retrying impeachment over and over again. What's the worst that could happen?

Pretty clear that NOTHING Trump could do could convince you he should be removed from office.

CP's question was specifically about President Trump and a Dem-controlled House. What happens after Trump leaves office is out of scope. Good job missing the point entirely, guys.

If Trump gets a second term, then my guess is 'Yes', there will be another Trump impeachment.

On the other hand, if Trump actually looses the upcoming election, then my guess is 'No', Trump will not have to face another impeachment.

Yes, we get the point of the opening post.

A comment was raised that was not directly related to the opening post but was an issue that was tangentaly related. It happens in discussion forums.

I think its hard to say without knowing what the political landscape is at the time.

Does Trump still have his ~40% base of racists and other bigots to depend on? Is the economy still strong? What crimes would he have committed in the second term?

I could imagine the Democrats would be hesitant to bring another impeachment simply because of the amount of political fatigue that would set in, especially if the republicans maintain a majority in the senate... Along the lines of "I don't like Trump but you tried to remove him before and failed. Time to cut our loses and do other things".

Pretty clear that NOTHING Trump could do could convince you he should be removed from office.

Trump could shoot someone in the Senate and the Republicans would vote to acquit 53-47. Unless it was a Republican, then it would be 52-47.

Historically, second terms are far more likely to be plagued by scandal. If Trump wins re-election, keeps grifting, continues to abuse power, and the economy finally goes into a recession, it's entirely possible he could be removed from office.

That goes without saying.

Next President get on the ******* bully pulpit like TR and Clinton and name and shame these useless Republican Senators to hell and back. Bring Washington drama to the American household, make them feel your frustration.
