The U.S., a wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart
How the music can free her, whenever it starts
And it's magic, if the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old-time movie
I'll tell you about the magic, and it'll free your soul
But it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock and roll

If you believe in magic don't bother to choose
If it's jug band music or rhythm and blues
Just go and listen it'll start with a smile
It won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you try
Your feet start tapping and you can't seem to find
How you got there, so just blow your mind

If you believe in magic, come along with me
We'll dance until morning 'til there's just you and me
And maybe, if the music is right
I'll meet you tomorrow, sort of late at night
And we'll go dancing, baby, then you'll see
How the magic's in the music and the music's in me

Yeah, do you believe in magic
Yeah, believe in the magic of a young girl's soul
Believe in the magic of rock and roll
Believe in the magic that can set you free
Ohh, talking 'bout magic

Do you believe like I believe Do you believe in magic
Do you believe like I believe Do you believe, believer
Do you believe like I believe Do you believe in magic

Of course as we all know, grooviness trumps all.

Hell, I'm groovy. Bring it on gals!

(And more especially guys. But is that too 1990s? :p Rather than 1970s, you know?)

That's the easy part. Tell the stranger that's our stuff that goes thumpity-thump. Mission accomplished.

With Larry, Moe and Curley.

Or later, with Larry, Moe and Joe Besser.

But not in the between time with Larry, Moe and you know who. That sure as Hell doesn't make you feel happy. :p

I voted for "Gremlins". It's such a funny movie. I loved it!

But I don't know if it so much about Christmas...

About Chrimas, my choice would be Tim Burton's "The Nightmare before Christmas"...

Tim Burton's "The Nightmare before Christmas"...
That`s a tip top film for the kids.( and me)
`wonderful life` is always my Christmas film. No one else in my family likes it, but by the time I`ve cooked the dinner and had a bottle of sherry, no one dares argue.
And of course, the ubiquitous `Wizard of Oz.`

"Nightmare Before Christmas" here as well. Jack Skellington makes an awesome Santa. :D

/me takes a sip from her Jack n' Sally mug

John Carpenter's *The Thing*. Its part of my belief that Christmas, and not Halloween, should be the holiday on which we try to scare the wits out of little children. I mean, they wouldn’t be expecting it /then/, now would they?

edit : eye kan spel

I voted for the bottle of vodka.

I actually like this "poll bug". it makes them much more interesting.

Edit: Agreed, Carpenter's "The Thing" was great!

Oh, it has to be Jimmy Stewart in Frank Capra's " It's a Wonderful Life".

So I'm a big softy. Mug me and see.

Elf with Will Ferrell - he's hilarious. A human is raised by elves in the North Pole, and returns to civilisation (New York) to search for his father.
