Conservative author Dinesh D’Souza was indicted Thursday on federal charges of violating campaign finance laws by using straw donors to funnel money to a U.S. Senate candidate.

I wasn't sure if this fit better under religion or politics. He has been a staunch if misguided defender of fundamentalist Christianity against atheism however this was also part of his conservative politics.

This is the right call because it was a prohibited political act that is going to send him to jail.

It's good the see that people will fight for their religious and moral principles even if they have to lie, cheat, and steal to do it.

If only this fit on a bumper sticker.

Yes, but if all these Bible thumping, Evolutionary Theory denying, apologists get in trouble, who will hold up their end of the debate? Hovind's son has already shown that he can't debate.

I just saw a headline proclaiming that he was because Obama is a Nazi.
The latest conspiracy theory on the right is that Obama has "released his hounds" at the Justice Department to go after his political enemies. Drudge is pushing this line.

I'm not as honorable and decent a man as President Obama; I would have done this when they shut down the government, and I'd have found some colorable reason to indict the Koch brothers, cancel their passports, and freeze their assets. And the RNC might find itself in a RICO probe.

So, don't make me President, but it's a fact that Obama has done none of those things, so they can stop whinging until he does.

Yeah, some Republican friends have been complaining about how their 'noble opposition' is being gone after by the law recently. It's all Obama's fault you see, putting them in jail, and the Republicans can't do anything about it.

To which I say, (NSFW)

Sure, but there is some discretion as to whether such acts are actually investigated and a prosecution launched. Possibly under a Republican administration poor Dinesh D'sousa wouldn't have been subjected to such intense scrutiny.

Well, you know that Saint Dinesh can do no wrong...

(rolls eyes)

Thanks for this insight into the mind of the left.
