Did NASA Nuke Jupiter

They deserved it, and it was no accident. The Jovians didn't properly welcome their new Earthling overlords.

I think this guy lacks some basic understanding about size.

He says: "The resulting cascade nuclear detonation of all the surviving capsules totals several tens of kilotons …."

Anyone think this would be able to create a "black splotch" half the size of the Earth?

Funny stuff.

Obviously complete crap. Long before you reached enough depth to "implode" your vastly sub-optimal atomic device, it would melt. Chemical diffusion would take over at that point and the plutonium would no longer all be in the same spot. It would effectively dissolve and disperse in the surrounding material.

Even if it did go off, it wouldn't cause any fusion reaction. Totally different pressure level required. You'd get, at most, an upwelling marginally stronger than convection that is already thought to occur in Jupiter's depths.

I have read, though, there is some evidence of mildly critical nuclear fission that takes place in Earth's crust from time to time, from naturally occuring uranium deposits. But nothing we'd notice. I should try to look that one up...

I've only glanced through it (as I haven't had any coffee yet), but this site looks to be quite entertaining to read.

The supposed nuke cloud is nothing of the sort. This is nothing more than a festoon, which are common on Jupiter. Amateur astronomers are constantly monitoring Jupiter and the other planets. Jupiter is probably the easiest to image with webcams. Hoaxland used a blurry one but if you look here

http://homepage3.nifty.com/~kuniaki/oaa/oaa-0310e.htm

You will see an October 15th image (4 days before the blurry one shown on Hoaxland's site) of the same region, which is much higher quality. The same festoon is clearly visible.

Cool! Thanks for the info.

I'm only a hack astronomer at best... but I was out with my little Meade when Shoemaker-Levy came down, along with dozens of other geeks. Astonishingly, the black spots from that comet impact were undeniably visible, even with my cub-scout grade gear. Truly a great night to be stargazing.

Obviously most of the people on this thread are trying to cover up for the NASA bombing of civilians on Jupiter while claiming they are only going after Jovian terrorist members of H'&g((t0^sh. Fortunately the JRF (Jovian Rights Factotums) have been keeping us well informed about that foul scam!!!:jaw-dropp :jaw-dropp

We also dropped some anti-matter bombs on them in 1994 in a false-flag op and blamed it on an innocent comet. Some people are just sheep and will toe the governments line no matter how much evidence there is. They are just in denial....

seriously, what difference does it make if we nuke jupiter? better to test them there than here no?

although mars would be a more reasonable target, closer, and you might actually be able to learn somethign from the damage patterns observed, but cant let logic get in the way of a good conspiracy :)
