A photo series of Blaine-in-the-box

Two pictures of interest:

Photo A: Taken, standing on the river bank, to the left of the box.

Photo B: Taken, standing on the river bank, to the right of the box.

Now, look at the small window at Blaine's feet.

In Photo A, the hinges are on one side. The window is to the back, away from the river bank.

In Photo B, the hinges are on the opposite side. The window is to the front, near the river bank.

WTF??

Edited: Ahh, look at the writing on the side "Harmony". I also didn't realize that you could walk around it. I thought the box was over water.

My bad.... :)

(renata, shurrup...! :))

There are 2 windows. Note the writing (Harmony?) by the window in photo A, by his feet. In B, the writing is by window by his head. Either the box is turned, or photo is just taken from different perspective.

Sheesh, those skeptics! Don't trust anyone! :D

A certain smug Dane edited his post a full 4 minutes after my rather concise and brilliant post punching holes in his crazy theory.

I will not gloat... MUCH!!

LOL.

Apparently Blaines' trick fooled somebody.

Apparently somebody does not have me on ignore anymore... :)

Care to answer some questions, or are you going to continue the charade?

Really who cares if he faked it or not.. ultimately it was rubbish.

Bloke in a box only drinking water... err this has been done before by people on hunger strike. The ethical implications are obvious.

The worst part was that it even took up TV and tabloid space.. and tbh most of it was that people were not being nice to him as the whole stunt was crap anway.. cheat or not it's was mindblowingly dull.

Stick to card tricks at least they are interesting.

Pool Boy took a picture of Blaine, but from across the river, as he really didn't feel like walking over there. He said it seemed like he was kind of over the water. Anyway, once I figure out how to post the stupid digital pics I'll post his picture.

I have to agree...

Its was like watching paint dry...

People were up there on hydraulic platforms, most days...they never showed that too many times on TV...

The best shot i saw was when he stood up...and feigned collapse...his eyes wide, in true Blaine style..he looked deliriously around the box...as if he didn't know where he was....he kept looking down to see who was actually looking up at him...

As for the 250,000 people who went to see him...

That has got to be the biggest joke of all....

The TV was clever...they never kept the TV cameras on the crowd...there was never more than about 10, maybe 20 people standing around at any one time...most just glanced up on their way to work....

Maybe they were counting all the workers...that had to walk past the box...

Oh the tears, when he was let down...

Sky News...when the women presenter claimed that 250,000 people had visited the site...the male presenter quite clearly rolled his eyes..and laughed.

Can you imagine how 250,000 people passing through in 44 days..

Thats nearly 6,000 people a day...

Get real...

98% of them were just on their way to work and had no choice but to pass underneath...

That leave about 80 people a day went specifically to look at him...

Where did you pull that 98% from?

In any case, it is about 6000*.02 = 120 people a day went specifically to look at him.

T'ai Chi,

Since nobody has reposted my (erroneous) question about Blaine in the box, you have read what I posted.

Ergo, you do not have me on ignore.

Ergo, you cannot claim that you don't see the questions put to you.

So, why don't you want to answer them?

Did David BLaine fake it?

I really didn't think guys did fake it....:D

Yeah I agree, not many people really cared as it was a garbage stunt. Even 250000 is naff all when you consider where it was at.
Most people only got some interest when people were tormenting him so they only really made a trip there to either:

1. Be nasty to him.
2. Watch other people be nasty to him.

What else was there to see?

In the UK we used to put people in cages and hang them up to starve as a form of execution. The common parctice was to also throw things at them etc. Set up some stocks in the UK and put someone in it - leave a big basket of rotten fruit nearby and the result is inevitable - it's in our blood ;-)

Heck a boring magician in a box for 44 days - well i personally think he got of pretty lightly.

For me the stunt was morally and ethically wrong, but worst of all it was without doubt the worst stunt i've ever seen by a long shot - imo he was in that box for 43 days 23 hours and 59 minutes too long.
