Even if he isn't psychic he should have seen that coming.
If I was Power I would have STFU and forgot about Brown or I would tell the faithful I had been stitched up by the trendy London media.
I would stay well away from anything legit. Like psychics are meant to do.
Why he thought he could take on Brown I do not know.

I didn't see it in the article... how did Joe Power get involved in this case? I could easily imagine a mother arranging the abduction of her own child then asking a psychic to get involved in hopes that would keep things muddled enough for the the rest of her plan to play out. What better way to keep the child from being found too soon than having a psychic unwittingly leading the authorities on a wild goose chase?
 
Why Power thought he had a case is a mystery seeing as he was given approval of the show a month before it aired!

Actually, the article says he was given a description of the type of show they were making a month before filming. I'm sure he was arrogant enough to think he could BS Derren Brown into accepting his demonstrations as impressive.
 
Having seen the Power show when it aired, I think he got away lightly.
Derren was too light on him.

I saw it too. It was almost like Derren Brown thought, "This guy's making himself look so bad, I don't need to add anything."

I did read somewhere he had to sign a release after seeing it,anyway he was rubbish.

Why is it that scouse psychics seem to be such arrogant ****s. It makes me prefer Sally Morgan.
 
I think Derren was aiming for Joe and missed. Just a shame some poor innocent in the audience got hit, but sounds like he was making himself a target anyway.
