I couldn't help but notice by the electoral map that most Democrats tend to live along coastlines. I wonder why that is?

I guess that would make them our front lines if we are ever invaded by sea. If that were to happen, I'm sure they would retreat to the midwest and take shelter in Columbia, Missouri while the surrounding rednecks whip out their legal concealed weapons and take cover behind all the political campaign signs.

I can picture it now. "We tried to hold them off on the shores with demonstrations and protest rallies, but they kept shooting at us. Don't they understand our rights? It's all the Repulican's faults. I think I'm going to pass out. Does anyone have a latte?"

Their heavy brains carry them downhill towards the coast. for the same reason, they can't get over mountain ranges. In the deep south their heavy brains cause them to sink into the mud and they choke to death

Or perhaps the thermal expansion caused by the hot air generated by the conservative midwest pushes their light and fluffy idealisms to the coastlines. I smell a publication in the works.

Democrats are in fact a degenerate species of vampire. This not only explains their attitude to taxing their fellow citizens but it also means that they tend to avoid areas with abundant crosses and sunshine.

Naturally their con-specifics are found in abundance in godless, sunless northern europe.

Democrats live in areas that have large metropolitan areas. Its called sophistication...culture...civilization.

Republicans live in areas with lots of cows and cornfields that formerly wanted the institution of slavery to continue and oppressed blacks for attempting to have equal rights in the 60s. Its called ignorance...lack of sophistication...or being a dumb hick.

Did it occur to you that every large educational institution you can identify on the CNN map voted for Kerry?

It's very simple, igorance vs. knowledge, and ignorance won, completely, absolutely, and in a roaring landslide.

And you're gloating. What does that make you?

Looks fairly evenly distributed. Not like the edges are lined in blue, and the center all red.

Why is Maine completely gray, though?

This is along the lines of something touted by another idiot, Michael Reagan, 4 years ago. The vote was nearly 50-50, but for dumb people look at this map and think that it shows some kind of vast Republican majority. In case you didn't know, people are citizens and people vote. Acres of land do not vote.

But you gotta admit, the dumb are good at providing us at least some entertainment value.

Here's a map of the US population density:

And here's another one showing political tendancies:

I'm not seeing much evidence to support the notion that people in the more populated areas vote democrat. In fact, it looks like the highest population densities are in states that tend to vote republican.

Bah. It's all statistics. You know what they say about statistics.
