So this happened today, and is supposed to happen all week. Hopefully the weather will remain nice.

Hundreds flock to US Capitol to protest money in politics

Hundreds of 'Democracy Spring' protesters arrested at Capitol Hill sit-in

Apparently, FOX knew about it beforehand.

Watters Talks to Anti-Corporate Demonstrators Preparing to Storm Congress (ETA - This title is a bit misleading. The did not "Storm Congress.")

It will be an interesting week.

The coalition is calling on Congress to pass four bills: the Government by the People Act and Fair Elections Now Act; the Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2015; the Voter Empowerment Act of 2015; and the Democracy for All Amendment. In addition, they are calling on the Senate to confirm a nominee to the Supreme Court who will vote to uphold political equality.

I wonder what's in those acts and the amendment they want passed.

BTW, 'Hundreds' of protesters isn't actually a lot relatively speaking.

This is what I found so far.

S.2023 - Fair Elections Now Act (I couldn't find anything newer)
https://www.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/senate-bill/2023

H.R.2867 - Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2015
https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/2867

H.R.12 - Voter Empowerment Act of 2015
https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/12

H.J.Res.22 - Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relating to contributions and expenditures intended to affect elections. (I think that this is it)

AKA "Silence people to give my side more chance of winning" acts.

It appears that most of the people involved are Democrats. If that so, it is ironic that Hillary will be the nominee. If I'm wrong, then I'm worst that ironic and the Liblickers will undoubtedly let me know.

I don't claim to be psychic. Either Sanders or Clinton could get the nomination. I'm more of a #UniteBlue sort of a person. I avoid the fierce Clinton supporters vs. Sanders supporters battles like I would avoid the Zika Virus.

On the other hand, I'm willing to bet that Cruz will win the Republican nomination. Not that I'm a fan...

Fixed that for me.

Bingo!

Democracy is too important to allow the people to participate. They need to shut up and vote as they're told.

Fair play to them, they've already gotten way more people and media attention, than Operation American Spring ever managed :p

I heard about this on another forum, Berniebots. But even the guy urging everyone to go couldn't make it because he had a job.

It looks like a poor showing.
