I've met Mr. Irving, and the judges comments seem right on the mark to me. When I met him, I had no idea who he was, he was speaking about the Goebbels diaries he was translating at the time. Another fellow in the audience was a TV reporter (off-duty at the time) who recognized two of the people Irving brought with him - he had interviewed them both in the past as representatives of the KKK.

I guess the best I can say is that based on personal experience, I'm skeptical of Irving's claim to not be a Neo-Nazi.

The Wikipedia article has a NPOV marker on it which I don't remember from the last time I checked it. Still, looking through it I'd still say it's a good source for the information you want.
