Forgive me if I'm going over familiar ground again, but I've been wondering why prominent members of CSICOP haven't been to TAM before. Joe Nickell is one of my favorite skeptical investigators, and I think he would be great for TAM.

What does everyone think?

Joe was at TAM4, actually. I believe Ray Hyman has been in the recent past, too.

But in any event...Randi had a falling out with Paul Kurtz years ago over the Geller affair. So you'll see some CSICOP types speaking, but not a whole lot of cooperation between JREF and CFI/CSI (as CSICOP is now called).

There have been plenty of CSICOP people at TAMs:

Jerry Andrus, Stephen Barrett, Richard Dawkins, Murray Gell-Mann, Ray Hyman, Joe Nickell, James Oberg, Genie Scott, Richard Wiseman.

Benjamin Radford presented at the Sunday papers session this year and last. He is a writer and investigator with CSICOP (now just CSI) and he is also a managing editor for Skeptical Inquirer magazine.

However-- there is notably no CSI table in the back of the room...

I concur, and was going to point out that I saw (and sat with) Benjamin Radford, the editor of Skeptical Inquirer. Even though the falling out caused Randi to form the JREF (which benefitted all of us), he still has the support of individual members of CSICOP, or CSI, as they're going by these days.
