I just finished watching someone on television talking about the "truth" of crop circles (something about wormholes causing them, I wasn't really taking notice). What did catch my interest was her assertion that there is evidence of circles in snow, with no footprints around them and also circles caused by trees being flattened. I haven't heard of these. Can anyone enlighten me?

Well, FWIW, I've seen circles in trees.

On my property several years ago. In a section that had been logged about 20 years earlier so it was filled with young pines - about 4-6 inches in diameter. We had a summer of incredible thunderstorms and tornadoes and after one such event I went for a hike and found a circle about 30 yards in diameter where all the trees were broken off at about 5 feet high.

It was entirely explainable, but still pretty spooky.

Thanks, but she was talking about quite elaborate designs based on the "golden ratio" of course.

By "golden" are you implying that these circles in the snow are yellow?

If so, then I believe I can offer an explanation.

The fact that there's no footprints going up to them could mean that the individual who left them was "Shooting for distance" and did pretty well.

Although with all modesty I am told that I am not deficient in this department I cant possibly make claim to 25 foot circles.;)

Did she actually show any evidence? From what I've seen, the more fantastic claims made by crop circlers usually have little in common with reality, while the less fantastic are easily explainable. For example, I believe it was somewhere on this forum that someone claimed a circle couldn't be manmade because it went through a hedge. When actual photos were shown, the circle simply crossed a path, which most humans are quite capable of doing.

That was exactly the first thing I was thinking about when I read the thread title :D

I am not all that experienced with snow, and I will never visit snow infested country again. I have seen too many wierd things. Little fat men wearing top hats and fourth-hand clothes, carrots for noses, and eyes that looked like small rocks or minature pine-cones. Button shaped noses. I only ever looked at them from a distance, I was too scared to go any closer, in case of attack.

Obviously, these could not have been made by humans. Thus, my acceptance of Sno-cone aliens trying to send forth a message. Maybe they are even responsible for the snow itself! Prove me wrong!

I know what they ARE responsible for!!!!

Hmmm... Who told you this? And how did they know?

I mean when we're talking 25 foot circles, it ain't the length of the hose that matters, it's how many PSI you've got on the flow.

I suppose maybe you're into things that some of us are not. Oh well. I guess it takes all kinds, right?

I'm reasonably sure that the snow angel I saw in the in the park across from my house last year was made by Francine, Sylvia Browne's spirit guide. I know this because of the child-size six foot marks that decended from the ether to the point of contact with the snow.
