I've been out of pocket/out of touch for the past week or so...my wife told me that some of the pro-Creationists on the Kansas school board lost their bids for re-election last week? Any details? Another sign of the impending raputure?

Three creationist Republicans were beaten in primaries by reality-based Republicans. This kills the creationists standards in Kansas until the next time. And there will be a next time, because the creationist forces never stop trying, and most sane people don't pay attention to these things until the barbarians have crashed the gate.

Still...it shows that God wanted them to lose, IMO. Possibly to help them be more rightouse in the future approach to the issue.

No, God wanted them to win, and Sayt'n made them lose, because God wanted Satan to make them lose because it was a test of faith. I WIN THE DEBATE!

Did you win the debate because god wanted you to win or did you win because god wanted sayt'n let you win to test my faith?

It's all in the Bible. Just not necessarily in context.

No, they've thrown god out of town (or the state schools) so they shouldn't be surprised the next time they call god if he doesn't return their calls.

Proof of this would be hurricanes ravaging the plains of Kansas. ;)

Umm..those would be tornados, Gods version of "surgical strike."

Odd how this goes in back and forth, reason tic unreason tic reason. There's a thesis in here somewhere.
God must find it convenient that so many sinners live in trailer parks.

Well how often to creationists promote their beliefs before they are in office? All they need to do is keep their mouth shut and they can get into office with out explaining themselves, and then they have the power.

I really want a plauge of frogs.... or maybe the river's to run with blood. Remember when God punished Cleveland by setting the river on fire? That was cool, though I don't know that Cleveland is any more moral today than it was then.

I don't know how they go about it. I think they had to promote their agenda at least within the confines of where creationist cabals meet to practice their dark arts. They have to be organized to get the word out and to get out the vote.

That depends on how stiff the competition is.

I want to see my ex-wife turn into a pillar of salt.

Competition...in Kansas....it's one big Republican cabal. A candidate can say whatever they want as long as they spew "It's the Republican way" after the speach....then they're in!

Then all it does is move the determining election to the primary and not the general election. They still have competition over the nomination

Hardly. Whoever is so-and-so's buddy or who has given this much money to what-ever is usually the one to be nominated.

ithink it has something to do with how people dont take the creationists too seriously so they end up in power...then people get freaked out and vote them out, then they get comfy and the cycle starts over again.
for someone who is not christian it is so baffling how there can be so many important issues and they focus on creationism.
