Even though I am ashamed that I take great pleasure at any public revelations of hypocrisy by any leading evangelical figure I’m afraid that out of fairness I’m forced to give Crouch the benefit of the doubt unless any solid evidence emerges.
The guy seems to be negotiating for cash to keep quiet which adds an element of suspicion to his story. Also he has already accepted one settlement and now seems willing to violate that agreement so his honesty is already called into question.
Of course none of this means that his story isn’t true.
While I could not care less about whom this guy sleeps with I will however take perverse pleasure at the irony of yet another pious jerk being brought down by the very intolerance they preach should the story prove to be true.
On the other hand it would be a shame if it turns out that an otherwise honest man must defend himself from a greedy opportunist.
Either way it should prove entertaining.
