Cosmic Memory by Rudolph Steiner

My first cousin died in 1996 and I was given some of her books. Among them is a book by Rudolph Steiner called "Cosmic Memory". Its about Atlantis and how the human race cme to be made up of two sexes. It describes strange flying machines powered by a power source we overlook.

Its hogwash of course and I'm not going to read it. I'd really like to know where he got his information.

Rudolph Steiner does have some redeeming qualities as in 1919 he spoke out against anti semitism in a day and time when anti semitism was rampant.

How could an otherwise decent and intelligent man write such obvious hogwash?
 
A 18th/19th century architect, philosopher, and obsessed with esotericism. Many of them around these days too. And many of them very decent otherwise :)

Hmmm this isn't what I read. Maybe he was wishy washy?

He did write that. He also wrote this.

"I count it among most beautiful fruits of human friendship when every trace of mistrust between a Jew and a non-Jew […] can be extinguished […] The only thing that should be valued is mutual exchange between individuals. It is quite unimportant if a person is a Jew or a Teuton''

He was a believer in Blavatsky and then founded the nonsense that was Anthroposophy so he wasn't the most stable of persons.

Ok like most mystics he had a schizophrenic set of values and morals. He seems sincerely borderline in he sanity department.
