Please explain how some young children invite rapists into their world, and how we can teach them to stop doing that.
Please explain how millions of residents of Japanese coastal villages invited a tsunami into their world, drowning nearly 20,000 of them, and how we can teach them to stop doing that.
Please explain how last week a 52-year old friend of mine with Down's Syndrome, who was loved and cared for by scores of people in his church, service community, Scout troop, and dozens of other social connections, who was looking forward to Christmas parties and a holiday cruise just days away, invited a fatal brain aneurysm into his life, even though he could not possibly have had any idea what that is. I would prefer that no more of my developmentally disabled friends suffer and die prematurely, so please tell me how I might instruct them how to avoid thinking the inner thoughts that result in such things.
Respectfully,
Myriad
First one, I do not know how a scenario like that works; it is addressed in Money and the Law of Attraction, but I do not feel comfortable going into it. I cannot tell you how electricity works either; but, I accept that it fuels this computer I am typing on. Second, it has to do with mass belief of an impending fear-based event. Thirdly, I am sorry for your loss and I work with children of special needs in the public school in the Mid West United States. But I do not think that these folks are exempt from the life philosophy that I have described.
Explain what the universe looked like when there was nothing more evolved than a sea slug.
Look like to who or what? Reality does not exist without a conscious observer/participant.
How did the world work before there were humans?
I think a better question is: How did the world, solar system, and universe operate before there was life and/or conscious life?
Oh . . . So “exploring my mind “ really means “I have read some books”.
So you’ve also read The Secret as well? So I guess you will be winning the Lotto first prize next draw? I will give 10,000 to 1 odds you won’t.
You really mean “This is what I think and I want you to agree with me”. Sorry but I don’t think that will happen here.
It is referred to as introspection. Are you familiar with non-ordinary states of consciousness? That was an allusion to discoveries at a non-ordinary state of awareness via meditation or something similar.
No, you are making assumptions about what was presented in the Original Post. I am not here to convince you of anything. And that is how good books on conscious creation / magick begin; okay, we have these powers of conscious creation to manifest a world of health, wealth, and happiness for ourselves. You can take it or leave it. Whether you accept it or not, the influence of what I am describing is present in your life.
I think everything what the OP said is utterly, completely, totally and thoroughly wrong.
We can easily test this, my friend. Try to do what you claim you are able to do. Try to think something into happening.
Again, you do not have to accept it. I am just putting it out there. Testing the phenomena; I am trained in science. How do you measure the quality of visualization in the mind? In the future, it is a possibility.
But science already has shown this. When a basketball player visualizes himself making every free throw shot, as compared to no visualization, his percentage of made free throw shots is significantly higher.
consciousness experiences reality it doesn't create it.
Believe whatever you want to believe; you get to pick your beliefs. It is just that some beliefs facilitate maximum liberty for the individual. The one you expressed is not one of them.
More likely our minds merely create a model or perception of reality, which may or may not be consistent with objective reality.
How can we cause something to "manifest", except as the natural consequence of our behavior?
Semantics, all right. What do you consider objective reality? Like the world of Newtonian/classical physics?
It is a natural consequence of our thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, intent, desire, which form our worldview.
I am not going to address posts that attempt to insult the people who are posting.
A mind is like a computer; and the individual, if aware enough, is the self-programmer.
