I don't think it is, but this guy does:
Ironically the landslide area contains the only nearby FRACKING INJECTION WELL OPERATION.
Sorry for the all caps on that, but its necessary to drive home the point on this.
Main stream media showing this location in their videos, clearly the landslide location contains the only fracking / injection well operation for several miles in any direction:
Nevermind that geologists, hydrologists and locals agree that the slide is due to heavy rain on unstable soil after a prolonged dry period. This guy is a 'weather watcher', he's got a degree from Google U and he's seen this Youtube video and the MSN is covering up the fact that it's caused by fracking!!11!!

This keeps turning up on my FB feed and I don't know enough about fracking to counter the hysteria except to keep repeating that, if true, this would be very hard to conceal from the world. So has anybody got some facts I can throw at the greenie Chicken Littles?

His "evidence" seems to consist of aerial photos of the alleged "fracking injection well", with nothing actually showing where it is in relation to the slide. He also states that the presence of the well was the reason the three missing men were checking the slide. However, all the news accounts I have read said that the three men were checking an irrigation ditch blocked by an earlier, smaller slide.

The edge of Grand Mesa, where the slide occurs, has very steep slopes and lots of shale, and has always been prone to mudslides. This one is much bigger than usual, but not really an unusual event at all on the geologic time scale. This year has featured a heavy snowpack, late, fast snowmelt and a rainy spring, a perfect combination for triggering mudslides in a naturally unstable area.

also been reading the AGU blog on this? :D

I dunno about the mudslide, but I wouldn't be surprised if the 3.6 magnitude earthquake that hit the northeast part of the state last week was fracking related.

Only likely if mag 3 earthquakes are hugely unusual for the area. We get the occasional mag 3 here in Scotland, but we've no fracking.

ETA: The mudslide is probably not unrelated to the earthquake.

Nary a squeak from my Avast AV. There are a lot of scripts running on that page - Comodo is probably spooking on one of them.
But if you don't want to risk it, go to his Youtube channel - about 90% of his website is YT vids anyway.

It makes sense. There has never been mudslides in Colorado before they started fracking there.

Right?
