I found this site quite funny so just had to share it.

http://www.spectrahue.com/

Here it explains why it works on animals:

Human beings are not the only "creatures of light" that inhabit this planet. Other soul groups exist on Earth that require similar elements and energy to sustain their physical existences. The main difference between humans and animal soul groups is that each animal species resides within a group consciousness that exists primarily within the first four dimensions (with specific purposes and genetic patterning), whereas humans have independent minds and free will and originated beyond the seventh dimension.

Animal languages also differ from human languages. Human languages, regardless of their linguistic differences, exist within the eternal matrix of light. Language, as a metaphor of Golden light, reflects/projects an all encompassing paramagnetic existence of interconnectiveness and knowingness. Golden light, which flows within all of us, animates the spoken word and is the source of third communications. Animal communications, however, are broadcast within the energy field along a band wave similar to radio waves, and their communications are primarily pictorial telepathic transmissions....
:D

Also look at those absurd prices, for a flashlight and three videos:

I saw an advert for this sort of stuff in the paper last year. I wanted to report it to the Advertising Standards Authority, but lost the cutting before I could send it off.

Anyway, among the ludicrous claims were (I memorised this bit):

"A mixture of red and blue light can increase healing by 20%"

Note the vagueness of "healing". Healing what? A burn?Tuberculosis? Anyway, later on down the page it said:

"Red light can increase healing by 200%"

Then why the hell would anyone want to switch on the blue light?

This explains something I often wondered about. Why TV interference gets worse when a cat sleeps on the antenna cable.

Quick, Grok my Aura. I think I'm having a paradigm shift.

Color therapy tips

Properties of Red: longest waveband and lowest amplitude of all visible colors; a hot positive color with a strong magnetic force; symbolizes love, anger and life itself; highly penetrating.

Properties of Orange: warm and encouraging; symbolizes bliss and happiness and can help raise the spirit.

Properties of Yellow: warm positive color with a purifying effect; stimulates intellectual clarity, digesting, elimination and the processing of toxins. Good for learning difficulties.

Properties of Green: cooling, sedating and balancing color that helps reduce swellings of joints and tissues; calms the body and reduces inflammations.

Properties of Sky Blue: a cool color that facilitates spiritual growth and assists in breaking down emotional barriers.

Properties of Indigo Blue: electric color, peaceful, cool with a calming effect. Recommended for sleep disorders, headaches and pain.

Properties of Violet: cold color that has the shortest waveband and highest amplitude in our visible spectrum. Promotes awareness and consciousness.

It makes me wonder, if all the colors have positive properties and since white light contains all the different colors, why not simply use an ordinary flashlight and get all the effects at once? :D

Well, you know, most people in total darkness at all times and are rarely exposed to any light sources at all, so these people are clearly providing a valuable service.

I predict (although it's probably been done already) that some other group of quacks will come out say that certain wavelengths of light are bad for you (perhaps red increases anxiety, and green promotes a short temper, and blue decreases the density of your aura) and will produce a set of coloured filters that you hold over acupuncture points to only allow beneficial frequencies through.

A bargain at, say, $50 each plus $250 for the training videos!

Wow, pseudoscience is easy, innit?

Ooooh, careful! You don't want to mix your medications like that! Who knows what sort of interaction effects there might be!

...I'll gladly sell you some homeopathic sunscreen, though...

That is a very funny site.

I love the testimonial on the first page:

Yippee!!! I had finally found what I was so desperately looking for. I use the blue for pain and green to calm me down after a hard day. Those are the two colors that I use the most. I usually use the light after I've gone to bed because it is darker then. I really wouldn't want to be without my light!

Does this person sound even slightly sane? Or over 7 years old?

Do they make a little camp under the bed clothes, shining their light in their face for greatest effect?

WHO WOULD BUY THIS?????
