Climate change, impacts and vulnerability in Europe 2012

You need to drink more.

Just watching this weeks "Once in 30-years" floods in the well named Somerset Levels.

The causes of flooding in the Somerset levels are reasonably complex. The drainage ditches built by monks and farmers have a series of sluice gates. Thirty years ago, the Somerset levels to the West of Glastonbury were deliberately and regularly flooded rather than flood more affluent areas further downstream. Floods were also caused by ditches not being cleared. This may not be climate change.
