For example, before coca cola was launched, the image of Santa Clause was much different according to many historians. Today we all know him as having red and white as his signature colors, the same as the coca cola company. This leads many people to believe that they created the image of a jolly old fat man, always with a bottle of coca cola in his hand, to boost their business; especially around the holidays.

Rincewind is white and non Muslim, and will be taking me off social services, so I don't think he will have trouble getting here. For the long term, we have to wait until my kids are both in their majority for them to legally leave the country (otherwise their dad will sic the feds on me) and a lot can change in 4.5 years.

That's how the story comes from people who believe the theory. But in truth, the fat Santa in the red and white suit was already quite standardized in America for at least a few decades before the very first Coca-Cola ad starring him.
The entirety of the holiday is a conspiracy theory. People have known for nearly a thousand years that Jesus could not have been born on Dec. 25 as per the Bible yet continue the lie. Parents and the media conspire to keep the truth that Santa from children. Most of the traditions from Christmas Trees (C.T.?) to gift giving were stolen from other cultures, usually ones brutalized by Christians.

Giving Cocacola the maximum possible benefit of the doubt you could say they made one image of Santa popular enough to become the default. But the it would be a stretch. More likely their campaign was popular enough that it became tied up in pop culture with the idea of Santa, and hence the myth.
