If only he had slept 24/7 through the last 5+ years, we may not be in such bad shape today. But seriously, what do you do in this situation? Does Bush give him a little elbow jab? I wonder if he snores?

Too bad Rummy doesn't sleep on the job too. We might actually be winning in Iraq if that were the case.
 
Wellllll,

I would rather be in a room with a sleeping Cheney
as opposed to being an open field with a wide awake and armed Cheney.

What's your point? That he didn't sleep through the whole meeting? I only said I wish Cheney would sleep all the time, not that he does.
 
It is funny, but I know from experience that just looking down can make it appear that you are asleep. My friend Kevin from work was caught looking at the notebook in his lap when I snapped this.

I pulled the pic down from some blog. I can't remember which one.

Here's an even more primary source, the Reuters website. There is no movie that I know of; it's from a photographer snapping a string of pics with a still camera.

Funny is in the eye of the beholder. I only consider my intentional humor to be funny.

If the alleged ha-ha is that there are numerous adjacent pics showing Cheney awake, it doesn't indicate to me that the pic of him apparently being asleep means he wasn't. Having watch people nod off in meetings for years, I know they can be back-and-forth between awake and dozing in an instant.

As for whether he was actually asleep, I don't care. My OP is still damn hilarious. I'm talking Colbert-funny. I'm glad you think so too.

Well, in this photo, he seems just as alert as he seems asleep in the other one. So what? He was awake when he sat down, he dozed, he awoke again.

If you're trying to claim that this proves that my photo does not show him sleeping, then just come out with it already. Why must we have this dance? I don't know if he was sleeping or not, and as I said above, I don't care.

OK. I'm going to take a flyer here. Perhaps you think that because Powell is in the pic, you don't think it's of recent vintage. Is that it? No, that's not it. What then?
