Cheap/Free Flash Generator

Hi all.

I want to produce some web pages which make use of Flash. I can't afford Adobe/Macromedia authoring software so I have been using MotionArtist which is much more reasonably priced. This does everything that I need, except scrolling (dynamic) text. There are other products available but none seems to be able to perform this task.

Does anyone know of affordable software which I could use to produce this effect in a Flash file? I want to be able to scroll text up and/or down with a rollover and/or click.

Although I have gotten away from putting Flash on my clients websites, I used SWISH with some very nice results. Not sure if it will be what you exactly need, but you can download a free trial to check it out. Very affordable as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, JOKER. I had heard of SWISH before but the info on their website didn't hold out much hope for the functionality that I'm looking for.

I have downloaded their trial software but it is taking a long time to wade through the tutorials. I was hoping for the ability to drag-and-drop a dynamic text box but I am actually faced with the need to code lines of script. Not insurmountable but also not very 21st-century!

I'll persevere until I succeed or until the 15-day trial expires.
