Apparently some geezer by the name of Robert Rodriguez is undertaking a test for his telepathic powers at CFIW, Hollywood, on 20th December.

I imagine the test will enable the applicant to challenge for the JREF million straight away, and the applicant, a Mr Robert Rodriguez is certain he will pass the test.

In his own words, Robert says:

My group consists of 3 people. We have what we believe to be telepathy. So far they have defined me as a sender and the two others in my group as receivers. This is actually how it works. I am able to read their thoughts but they are not able to read mine. Jason and Chris can see, hear and feel everything that I experience as I am experiencing it. I have no privacy what so ever.

Standard 20/30 word test with a pass mark of 18/20.

He's quite confident that he can send his thoughts across thousands of kilometres to his two receivers, so 25 feet at CFIW should be a snip.

Anyone belong to CFIW and can give more info? Can't find anything on Robert Rodriguez on searches, he shares a name with (or is the same bloke as) a movie director from Hollywood.
 
Senders broadcast, if he's a sender, how can he know what they're thinking? They'd have to be broadcasting for him to pick them up.

Jason and Chris are receivers.

Yet:

Robert is able to read Jason and Chris' thoughts.

Jason and Chris are not able to read Robert's thoughts.

But:

Jason and Christ can see, hear and feel everything Robert experiences as Robert is experiencing it.

Some of this may be explainable if we assume Robert doesn't think. I think. Or then again, maybe not. :confused:

We're CFI West members, and have been there a few times. Maybe we'll go down Saturday and check it out, unless we have to stay home and clean out the rain gutters.

Just playing the odds. The weather forecast says another winter storm is coming our way soon. More likely that's a correct prediction than the odds of actually witnessing real telepathy, for which I'd have to drive to Hollywood and back.
 
Well, having senders receive and receivers send makes about as much sense as any of their other claims. :D More proof that logic and woo do not mix well.

Well, I wish someone would tell me.

I haven't heard back from Robert, so I'm guessing "no" at this stage, because if he passed, he was going to fly out immediately.

Damn, I was looking forward to that.
 
I've heard he didn't show up. They had everything set up for him, but he was a no-show and they ended up sitting around eating doughnuts.

What does the blue (Ed) mean at the beginning of the title of this thread? Just curious. I tried to find an answer in the FAQ, but I guess mine was a Q that was not A F enough.
