I apologize in advance if this post should have gone straight to humor but I do think that it may need some scientific support.

That being said I am looking for investors in an idea to get rich. I work for a family that believes every woo idea there is and it seems to me that it shouldn't be limited to others to fleece the intelectually challenged out of there money.

I propose to start a radiation protection service. People can send in there scary devices, cell phones, laptops, etc, and I will make them perfectly safe for use. My idea is to then put there phones into a burlap pouch, and return to sender. I will be laiming to use fully organic and natural substances using a technology that I have dicovered by studying the Maya and a connection to Atlantis.

I may also promote its positive health effects by changing the frequency to a health promoting wave instead of the deadly cancer causing type.

I have many more marketing ideas tieing in to vast conspiracies but can leave those until after I vette the idea with you fine folks. All feedback will be appreciated.

Of course you could get 50%, you do realize though that the advanced ancients calculated percentages in a special and mystical way.

I'm skeptical that you'd need investors to go through with an idea like this. If you can't make enough money to fund something as cheap as this yourself, I'm not gonna trust you with my dough.

Its not really a question of money but rather some internet savy for glossy websites and scientific sounding jargon. As an aside I would not trust my money to anyone who is trying to think of ways to rip other people off either.

Add "Quantum" and "Nano" to you spiel.

And don't us burlap, use "the new space age nano-fabrics".

Well I was going to claim the burlap (ancient organic fabric) was infused with rare minerals. I suppose I could say nano particles of rare earth elements that effect the quantum flow of harmful radiation.

I also need some scientific "tests" that show the amazing reduction of negative energy. This certificate of testing would be included with every shipment. Can't decide wether to just make up big words or actually use real terms, made up science would be easier to defend when asked to verify efficiency to pesky skeptics (you know like the whole JREF crowd).

Do not just start one business start several similar businesses. So that no matter what belief a person has then you will provide them with a service. Do not forget the money back guarantee, and the tin foil hats.

This "scam" has already been done... mostly

There is the "Metatron Technology" that can be purchased as software,a card or a device that will plug into the car power adapter.
This magical device will protect you from all of the radiation coming from every source.
Check out the claims at www.reduce-emf-stress.com or www.globalcoherence.com
They even use sceintific sounding research while ignoring the facts that what they claim to be measuring cannot be measured with the devices that they are using.

Good point, Iwas already worried that I would turn off the "natural" crowd if I got to sciency. The answer is to call one space age and the other organic. I can also use the youtube popcorn video and then use my device to show that it will not pop the corn when protected properly.

I think this market is big enough for both of us. Thanks for the links though I can peruse them for good marketing tips. Also I think my target audience thinks technology is bad so I would go with a more lo-tech nature angle, with the help of ancient knowledge that I have discovered while sitting on the beach in Mexico.

I think you should forget about the testing and defending of your claims, testimonials are much easier to handle, and your target group wouldn't know the difference anyway.

Mixing ancient wisdom and organic materials with technology may confuse your customer base. I suspect it is two different crowds.

A magic crystal in the room would be more convincing against radiation than keeping your cellphone or head in an organic llama wool bag. The problem would be finding a crystal that is not already used for some other scam, and well know to your marks as good for e.g. Hi-Fi audio quality.

Perhaps you could make some kind of amulet with a magnet, coil and a few crystals. The claim could be that if creates a protective bubble of 10-20' where the negative aspects of EMF is negated/converted. You could even claim that the conversion to positive energy will improve bandwidth for cell modems. :D

Throw some high-impedance ear phones in the mix, and you could have an amulet that talks to you.
