Case for a Creator

I was just in the elevator with a bunch of people, and one guy had a book, The Case for a Creator. I just checked Amazon, and this is one thing they had to say: (Portion of review from Publisher's Weekly)
Although Strobel does not interview any "hostile" witnesses, he exposes readers to the work of some major origins researchers (including Jonathan Wells, Stephen Meyer and Michael Behe) and theistic philosophers (including William Lane Craig and J. P. Moreland). Strobel claims no expertise in science or metaphysics, but as an interviewer he makes this an asset, prodding his sources to translate jargon and provide illustrations for their arguments...Still, this solid introduction to the most important topics in origins debates is highly accessible and packs a good argumentative punch.(Copyright © Reed Business Information, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc. I've not heard of this book, but it sounds like the typical religious believer stuff. Anyone know more about it? Would it be recommended in order to "know your enemy"?
Thanks.
edit to add: I wasn't sure exactly which forum this should be in - it could be skeptical, or literature. Mods, move to appropriate forum if deemed necessary.

I thought Paul Dolan wrote an excellent review (which you can read from the Amazon site), so I've emailed him and asked him if he'd like to come post his opinions on the book and discuss it.

I hope he does. :D

I'll probably see if my local library has this book, since it looks like it may be worth reviewing just to be more familiar with the 'intelligent design' arguments. I personally don't want to buy it, since I don't like giving them my money and propping up their books sales. ;\

Marian,

I like the message in your tag line. If there is porn here, someone has been very naughty... but not me.
As for the book, I also have no desire to buy it. Based on the responses, and the fact that it is a book about creationism I am highly skeptical. The author claims no expertise in science or philosophy. Does anyone else see the big problem here? How can he possibly organize and write conclusions about subjects in which he is totally ignorant. He has no idea whether what he is being told is valid or not. What is most offensive is his ethnocentric view that only Bible based religions are "right" and religions such as Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism (as well as every other "ism") are totally wrong. He certainly does not entertain any of Karl Poppers challenges to theologians regarding the circular logic which constitutes the pillars of every major organized religion, nor the glaring, obvious flaws in Gods "designs." Or is he advocating going back to the time when sick people are that way because they are wicked and sinners? So many questions, so many obvious philosophical sand traps.
