Canon printer on Ubuntu

I'm currently running Ubuntu on my PC and I'm quite happy with it.
But doesn't recognize my new Canon printer/scanner.

Can I get a driver from somewhere?
And how do I install it if I find one?

Up till now I've only installed stuff from the software center.
I have no idea how to install software that in downloaded any other way.
 
For good Answers, i suggest asking this Question in a specialized Ubuntu Forum.
Dont forget to add the exact Name of your Printer/Scanner and the Ubuntu Version.
