Rebecca Bradley has, at my request, graciously offered to host another afternoon of good food, great wine, and awesome conversation on March 17.

I've PM'd a few people about this, but if there are others in the general area (Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC) who can make it that afternoon, please PM me, and I'll get you address/time/contact info.

This'll be another good one!

You know, if I win the Lotto, I'll spend all my time going around the world to meeting like this.

Another party without me? :(

Don't you have something to sell someone in Calgary that weekend?

This one is looking like it might end up being really good!

Alas, I'll most likely be here in Israel then, but give yourselves a kiss for me won't you?

Tell Rebecca how much I'm enjoying her books, too. I'm on the second of the trilogy. She's a great writer.

I'll be in Calgary in late July. Will there be any food, wine, conversation left by then?

July? Ya! There'll be festivities to be had then!

When're you going to be around??

July - yes, please.

Yeah, why don't we start planning a July fandango - something to look forward to! As for the March mini-fandango, I've invited Marie and Marc and Jenifer, another of my old students from the Alternative Arky course, plus Susan, whom some of you met last July. What time y'all arriving? Anyone object to pork ribs?

Hey, guys, thanks for your kind words on my books. :) :) :)

I was thinking around 2:00 or 3:00, if that's ok.

Pork ribs sound good, but I know one person who won't partake. I'll take a spin by Costco in the next week or so, to see if I can find some other snack stuff too. I hear they have a decent selection ;)

Do you want to do Dmitri's again, as well?

Fly in 23 July and make for Banff. Then on to Bobbie Burns and Bugaboos (Gotta love that name). Fly back from Calgary on the 31st. So I'll probably miss any skeptics meet-up. But isn't the Stampede on around then?

Do you have any free time in Calgary, or are you on the go from when you land?

No, the Stampede will be over my then.

Rebecca, I object to pork ribs, as Allah forbids it.

INFIDEL! Pork ribs are sacred to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

[On another note, we could do Dimitri's pizza again; or we could do potluck. I could offer up some ribs on the sacrificial altar for the devotees of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and throw on some pieces of chicken for any infidels - if the other celebrants wanted to bring buns and salads or whatever, we'd be set. Or both options, for that matter. Any way it goes, I'm a happy priestess - er, hostess. :) ]

It looks like a quick transition from plane to Banff shuttle on the way in. Coming back there is an overnight at the Delta Calgary Airport and an early flight out the next day. Barely enought time to hoist a beer in the bar. Dang! This is becomming an "Every other year" event, so next time I'll most certainly plan for more time. It's a nice area...and far different from the Eastern Provinces!

"Overnight"..... How many hours do you figure that would be? Keep in mind that one can sleep when they're dead.

OK, so I think I'm going to this.

I could even bring the wine that ScottH and AntiqueHunter had me smuggle out of the Aureole in Vegas. It's like I'm bringing a bit of TAM with me!
