In 1998 Sylvia Browne gives a mother false hope and wastes law enforcements money and energy:

Lake dredged, but still no Erica
By Peggy Kreimer

BROOKSVILLE - News helicopters buzzed over the mirror-like waters of Perry Poe Lake in Bracken County on Wednesday as two dozen police and volunteers in boats below dragged grappling hooks across the lake bottom.

They were searching for the body of 17-year-old Erica Fraysure, who disappeared almost a year ago. They didn't find her.

The search was spurred by a nationally recognized psychic on a syndicated television show last week who said she ''saw'' Miss Fraysure's body in a lake near where her abandoned car was found last October.
...
Last week, Mrs. Doherty appeared on the Montel Williams TV show with psychic Sylvia Browne. The psychic told Mrs. Doherty she believed Erica was strangled and that her body was in a lake near where the car was found.
...
As news helicopters circled, trying to get photos of the search, a Brooksville resident watched from a tobacco field nearby. ''If they don't find her there, they'll go down to my place,'' he said. The man, who did not want to give his name, said Scott did not give him a date of when he wanted to drag his lake. He said it is about two miles from where Ms. Fraysure's car was found.
...
Eight or nine psychics have contacted Scott or Mrs. Doherty since Erica's disappearance, and Scott has followed every lead, said Trooper Finley.

In 1998, Erica's mother, Maggie Miller spoke with psychic Sylvia Brown on the Montel Williams Show which led Kentucky officers to re-search the area of a private lake about 2 miles from where Erica's car was found. Divers searched the waters, but found nothing.

Very sad case. Its been 10 years and the girl hasn't been found. Meanwhile I doubt Sylvia Browne even remembers the girl much less what the family and law enforcement went through.
