In the tape, Bin Laden said the following:

“The brothers, who conducted the operation, all they knew was that they have a martyrdom operation. . . . [T]hey didn’t know anything about the operation, not even one letter. But they were trained and we did not reveal the operation to them until they are there and just before they boarded the planes.”

Confuses me, as I thought it was well established that they knew what was going on. Is he talking about the Saudi 'toughs' and not the pilots?

As I see it, the muscle hijackers did not know the pilots and the other way around and only the pilots had an idea of what was going to happen.

lol...this is, I believe, in the PAL OBL tape that was dubbed by morons in the TM as the "Fat OBL" tape. One of their own, a fellow truther, actually proved that the reason for the "fat" appearance of OBL in the tape was not due to an imposter, but rather had to do with the conversion from PAL to NTSC for the video itself.

I love it when they correct themselves...glimmers of hope.

Al Qaeda is a classic small-cell guerilla operation. If you bust a grunt, you can water board him all you want and he would not be able to tell you who his handlers are. It is pretty clear that ObL is speaking of the "muscle" not knowing even who the pilots were.

This is not a pleasant thing for twoofers to contemplate. It shows that ObL was a better organizer than the people running our security operations. Too scary to contemplate.

I'm not a twoofer and it bothers me.

Though 911myths suggests that explanation is incorrect since everyone else looks fine, but Bin Laden only looks "odd" in those few frames truthers use, the point being that he looks much more like what they call the real Bin Laden in other shots of the same video
 
I think the changes are more evident in the thinner, more well known obl, then the others in the footage.

It is 15 minutes before the week long ban (12AM EST), so I will be brief. I was not the one who did the analysis, but the guy who described the changes with the conversion made sound arguments. His analysis was looked at here, and others agreed with him. I am not really sure they were "debunking" me, but I know you only get a few moments to enjoy, so as weak as this moment is, I will let you have it. I know it would be out of character for you, but why not have a look at his analysis yourself.

here is what 911myths had to say...

Haas suggests that the initial video was shot in Afghanistan or Pakistan, and so used the PAL video standard, with a resolution of 720 x 576. This would later need to be converted into NTSC, with a resolution of 720 x 480. He points out that this could be done using a "linear interpolation PAL to NTSC conversion method", essentially eliminating every fifth line from the PAL video, but this would of course change the aspect ratio of the image and give everyone slightly fatter faces. Could this be correct? It's an interesting idea. We're not 100% convinced, as al Zawahiri, Suleiman Abu Ghaith and others don't appear particularly different to usual, but then they do get much less coverage in the video so it's hard to say for sure.
