Bez is a FOTL; who knew?

Bez is not a Free Man on the Land. A Free Space Cadet off his Face maybe, but he hasn’t been on planet earth since at least 1989.

I was surprised to read that he's the son of a Police Detective Inspector.

One proud dad.

strictly speaking, and as bez has now been jailed, this should be in the freeman success thread.
Technically, being dragged off to the cells shouting victory proves he didn't contract with them or something like that, i'm not totally on top of all the ins and outs of the freeman laws but i'm pretty sure that this must go down as a success.

The first thing Bez'll say when he meets his cellmates: "When's nominations?"

I love these quotes
He told the chair of the Manchester magistrates' bench Marie Cash that he did not recognise her authority.
'I'm not doing it. Bothered. I'm going to appeal and take this to a real court,'' he said, upon which he was jailed.
then
Following the sentence, Bez instructed a solicitor who was in the courtroom for another case to make a bail application on his behalf.

Yes hes a real FMOTL thats for sure

Apparently he is now running for MP in the UK....

I have gotten into some debate online after stating that I think he might not be a very good candidate (bankrupted twice, jailed for assaulting and threatening to kill his girlfriend, spouting non-scientific anti-fracking nonsense) and people have responded with some anger about it. Do they really think he'd make a good politician?

We always suspect our polititicians to be some form of criminal, this way they can be sure.

The Happy Mondays? Are they the ones that destroyed Factory Records? (With Tony Wilson as facilitator, of course.)

The father of Malcolm Webster (the murderer and arsonist) was a Detective Chief Superintendent. His mother had also been a police officer.

This irrelevant factoid brought to you courtesy of "The Widower".

Well, presumably these people are Bez fans. That's really all the explanation you need.
