Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.
Since installing Firefox 0.9 I noticed an annoying problem where a dialog box - "Locate link Browser" would pop up each time I linked to a URL from an email.
I just installed Firefox on Monday. Works pretty well.
One thing: when I open a desktop shortcut to a website (or even YM's 'you got mail' tiny window), I get an error box telling me that it couldn't open the link -> even though Firefox DID pop up and open the link. Odd.
Probably doesn't know how to handle old shortcuts properly.
As per bignickel's suggestion I am running firefox (0.9.1) now.
I really like it. I haven't noticed either problem described above.
If anybody is still running dial up (as I am) firefox is a huge improvement over IE. It seems to make much better use of the cache and displays previously viewed pages much faster. It also is much smarter about what to display on the page first. The text pops up very quickly allowing the page to be read while images are loading.
The way they imbed the search engine feature is very nice. I also notice that you don't lose the text in a text box if you switch to a different site and then come back. very nice.
The view source function also works. For some reason this stopped working in IE for me.
I am becoming a firefox true believer and I want to spread the word. Hallelujah.
