Artificial blood used

Am I missing something or is there a contradiction of sorts with this statement?

Sounds like they are extracting hemoglobin from red blood cells, so it's not 100% synthetic but very useful and versatile nonetheless.
 
How do vampires feel about this ?

Is it as bad as soya meat substitute is for us carnivores ?

Jewish Vampires wont drink blood thats not Kosher...
 
The salient point is that live whole blood doesnt last for very long whereas this 'synthetic' stuff lasts for ages.
 
Well in which case I hope it's better than UHT milk ;)


I couldn't tell from the article but will the synthetic blood be type specific ?

Looks like good news all 'round if the economics are viable
