Are there any real terrorist attacks?

I'm curious if there is any terrorist attack that the wootards at DIF, Infowars, Godlikeproductions, cluesforum or any of the other CT forums actually think was the real deal.

If not then I would love to know how we live in a planet with 6 billion people, lots of whom hate the USA, and yet no real terrorist attacks take place.

Just how is this artifice of peace kept standing? Do any of the conspiracy theorists realize the incredible implications that the world is peaceful enough that terrorist attacks only happen when the major powers attack themselves?

The sceptical thing to do would be to ask at the forums you've listed. I don't think anyone here can speak on their behalf (seeing as most of us are banned from them).

Not only the USA, but there are lots of people that hate lots of other people too. And yet, somehow, these aren't real terrorist attacks either.

I've noticed that when cospiracy theorists in the US speak of conspiracies, they tend to stick to the US and the UK. Speaking for myself, I've never heard a US conspiracy theorist mention Olof Palme, Liaquat Ali Khan or João Bernardo Vieira's assassinations or the disappearance of Harold Holt.

It's not just terrorist attacks it's anything sensational from storms to industrial accidents. Nothing ever happens, everything is faked. The space station, space shuttle, eclipses, floods, volcanoes, contrails, rocketry, physics, math, the whole damn world is fake.

As usual each one is used as evidence of the other.

Why is the ISS fake? Because the space shuttle is fake! Why is the space shuttle fake? Because rockets are fake! Why are rockets fake? Because the Apollo missions are were fake? Why is 9/11 fake? Didn't I just explain the whole space program is fake!!!???
 
The conspiracist's anti-parsimonious approach to, well, everything is driven by the urge to believe one has exposed a secret. The bigger the secret, the better. So on the one hand you can say that there is a certain logic in pointing out that if X depends on antecedent Y and Y is fake, then X is probably also fake as a consequence. But I think it's simpler. It's simply that a bigger payoff occurs when the conspiracy theorist believes he is privy to a secret that is massive in both breadth and depth.
 
I was going to say that even the conspiracy theorists must admit that the bombings, shootings etc in N.Ireland were real...but then they would probably say that both sides were infiltrated by the British government and therefore the government orchestrated each and every attack.

Are you kidding? Even weather, earthquakes and industrial accidents are fake. Basically, anything shiny that makes the news is fake. Poorly covered events in far off "developing" nations aren't fake.
 
Now the redbull base jump off everest is a hoax because the instant expert "starbucked" can tell how fast wind is blowing by listening to the sound it makes coming through his speakers at home from a youtube video.

^ Hear how much wind noise there is just before the Russian jumps.
Notice how the Russian's squirrel suit is not fluttering in this powerful sounding wind before the jump.
In fact, the wind sounds like it is blowing 40 to 60 MPH, yet doesn't seem to have any effect at all on the diver during the dive.

This is the kind of thing I have been hearing from my residential conspiracist. The point of view there is that "they" are fabricating bad stories to keep us in fear.

From the same source claiming news fakiness, I hear all sporting events are faked to maximize profit.

ETA: The sad thing is, that point of view ends up with the holder of it losing all enjoyment of sports, in addition to being able to have any trust in others.

I spent a few weeks at Delusional Idiots Forum discussion whether or not mammoths could be fakes, so I'd believe that.
 
I think that, like with most thing, there's a spectrum of beliefs. At one end (or at least near the end) there's people who think that 9/11 was all computer graphics, and that the Boston Bombings were filmed in a studio. Then at the other there's people who think that maybe the FBI just relaxed their surveillance efforts a bit in the hope that something would happen.

Then there's a whole bunch of beliefs in between. Nearly everyone admits to reality at some point, it just varies a lot.
