I saw a list of their members on here a while ago, coupled with their "experience and expertise".

i was wondering who could provide me with this list.
It was a great debunking of the most annoying chapter of the truthers. The so called pro's.

I'm debating this fella and trying to explain how Richard Gage and his band of misfits are completely outnumbered and underqualified. But I can't find a full list of names and professions to provide them. Can someone help? I tried searching the forums and tags and came up with nothing, but I know its here somewhere.

I know lot of these guys are philosophy and psychology professors and NOT architects or engineers. I just need to prove it to this dude. I'll be saving this info in a folder for future online debate.

Thanks for your help!!!

Don't forget to mention that many of Gage's statements are completely false anyway, such as his claim that Iron-rich spheres found in WTC dust could only have been produced by an 'Aluminothermic reaction'.
Then why are they found in the dust of any major urban center around the world? They are utterly common, and well documented.

Gage is peddling complete bunk.

Also see my video regarding his false statements.

Isn't that also the list that they never bothered to check the credentials of the people entering their names, and as a result there are numerous "joke" names inserted by people who are attempting to point out that they are NOT in fact checking anyone's credentials?

This is kind of what I'm looking for. It seems this is a list of JREF's qualifications, I'm not seeing A&E For truth on here. What page of this thread do I go to? there's 10 pages & 455 posts. Which one has the list of A&E?

ae911truth.org

You simply click the number of A/E who already joined at the website home and access each one with his brief description of the event and credentials.

Most of the people are also just signers of a petition. How many of them had looked into the claims before signing?

Welcome to the forums, sheeplesnshills!

Judging by how difficult it is to get one's name removed from the list once it has been entered, I would say there are probably a number of signers who may fall into that category.

Welcome to the forum!

Considering how many of those may very well be joke signatures (I think Elvis signed it about fifty times), more than likely less than five percent actually looked at what was being claimed.

Depends. Are you including the dozens that are just fabrications, made up and signed on just to prove how horrible Gage vets his "signees"?

TAM:)

That is interesting. Where can I find this fact?

Enik.

When they first started their petition, there were numerous fake signatures. This included fred flintstone, george jetson and barney rubble. All of them were listed on the webpage for weeks (iirc) as structural engineers.

On an more realistic note, over half of the "engineers" who have signed this petition are software engineers and electrical engineers. Now while I respect the level of education required to be either one, they are not qualiifed to speak on this subject professionally.

But then again, the petition was first degreed AND licensed. Then it became degreed OR licensed and now finally it is just Architectural and Engineering professionals (which includes the office filing clerk, the draftsman, the gopher, etc....)

I see tons of professionals that are willing to display their credentials publicly and put their name on a petition to lend it credence for a new investigation, along with those that want to be given voice even if they do not have or could not afford the education.

I think I would be more impressed if they did something other than sign an internet petition. For instance, I'm in a professional science/engineering society with about 390 dues paying members. We have a national conference every year, along with 1~2 topical conferences at various places around the country. We have elections, committees, by-laws, and general procedural meetings. Last year, members published nearly 200 papers in relevant, peer-reviewed publications.

So, the relevant question is: With more than twice as many members, what's been the output of A&E 9/11?

What I see is Richard Gage and about a dozen cronies jetting around the country, giving the same lecture and writing the same piece over and over again as if no legitimate criticism of their work existed. There's no structure to the organization, no semblance of democratic procedures, and no chance for contributing members to add substantively to the debate. Except, of course, if they want to "donate" to Gage's travel fund. What's worse, the stuff they write is immediately published to internet forums, and never travels through the peer review process at relevant engineering journals. If Gage has something, I can think of about 10 different engineering periodicals that would jump on the opportunity to publish the work, if it could pass peer-review.

If you have a link on that it would be usefull to me :)

Isn't that special.

Now to the point.
How do you feel about a group touting a petition which started as
degreed AND licensed

then changed to
degreed OR licensed

and finally changed to
Architectural and engineering professionals (which includes office workers, filing clerks, draftsmen, secretaries, etc...)

So we have 3 changes in order to inflate numbers... doesn't that bother you?

How about the fact that there are less than 100 structural/civil engineers who are degreed and licensed? Doesn't that bother you?

How about the fact that none of these 1000ish archtiectural and engineering professioanls have not managed to get a single peer reviewed engineering journal article to support any of their claims? Doesn't that bother you?

How about the fact that over 70% of these engineers are electrical and software engineers?

Doesn't that bother you? That unless the twin towers came down because of software coding errors, or massive electrical issues they are talking outside of their respective fields?

Which, until they provide substantial evidence and arguments to support their claims, is merely a poorly manufactured argument from authority.

I don't see the problem with having three groups, clearly listed out. It makes it easier for folks to parse through to see their credentials. They do check credentials.

~10% membership structural/civil is not bad. How many structural/civil engineers do we have here that will submit their credentials for review?

I don't see a problem with adding office workers, filing clerks, secretaries as long as they provide proof on who they are, to prevent the Fred and Barney syndrome again. They are signing a petition for a new investigation. What's wrong with letting draftsmen sign? I've worked with several draftsmen that have as much knowledge and experience as an engineer, they just chose not to pursue the degree.

I believe, in the beginning, there were a lot of folks spamming the site so they had to shut it down and start over. They use to also have a message board, but they shut it down too, I think because there were too many arguments that one had to sign the petition in order to blog.

Well, hell, why don't they just include barbers, belly dancers, and shoe salesman in the group too?
