Okay Fools of the April variety. Nominate Stundies here. Humorous abominations of logic and reasoning that are related to discussions of conspiracy theories. Try to keep them short and sweet and don't forget to link to their source.

SO from the Idiots of March to the April Fools.

When I saw the titles for the new sections in Politics, I thought that EJ Armstrong had taken over the board.

It seems appropriate to nominate this one:

Well, this is the case they're trying to make.
A very convenient case to make if Jeff really had ****** up with some PMs.

Discussing the April Fools Day prank....Although there's the possibility that I'm being punked here....Isn't that what it's all about?

I guess the trauma that was caused by Sherman's March Through Georgia is still causing some voters in Georgia to act strangely in that district.

Do continuing mythical conspiracies count for a Stundie? If so, I have one from the Religion and Philosophy forum from a recent "rising star" there. In describing his take on the symbolism of the traditional star on a christmas tree, he reveals a conspiracy between the devil and astrologers (the wise men) and he says this in contempt of the other xians who believe the star was an angel of god:

David Henson said:
That Xmas star is Satan trying to kill Jesus as an infant . . . that how stupid modern day Christianity is.

He must have forgotten what century he lives in.

If they do (and thanks to this thread) I say this shows that perfect disconnect from reality...

Japanese Jesus ChappieIndeed, when we disregard myths, religions, fanatical doctrines, biased interpretations, emotions etc, and concentrate on facts, we have to accept the fact that Christ died on the cross and came back to life after nearly 3 days. No one disputes that – there were many witnesses at the time.

I know DNA lasts a very long time. But a positive identification of someone can't always be determined because of degrading of a sample over time. This stuff wasn't sitting in a lab or a baggy somewhere. It's been laying in a landfill. And it's a shame. A national shame.
Scientists can extract DNA from a 35,000 year old bone, but a 9 year old bone? Science has only come so far.

I didn't know DNA was paranormal.
Oh but it is...

Black Magic involvement on 9-11

Some Stundielicious gems in a little thread over at the David Icke nonsense college.

The thread kicked off way back in March but I've kept a beady eye on it since. It rolling over nicely into April.

Briefly, the OP (HERE) is about Black Magic involvement on 9-11.

The thread starter get's told off for being behind the times. You know, Satan-Bush etc....it's all so old hat n all, get with it FFS.

A minor thread skirmish starts about certain theories of what happened that day. The details are funny but largley irrelevant to the actaul stundie (see last two quotes.)

timehasanend: Sorry, but the Mass Human Sacrifice theory is far better in comparison to the Orion theory.

matrix911: LOL... how so? But then the two "theories" are still for all intents and purposes, different. no comment on the pentagram of blood?

matrix then goes on to berate timehasanend about his profound ignorance on the Satanic angle

matrix911:Why do you bother offering your OPINIONS if you have no argument or evidence to support it? you do know what they say about having an OPINION right?

timehasanend: what are you talking about?

matrix911: DODGE noted. i presented a rebuttal to your "argument"... your response above is a classic tactic when you've lost the debate.

so the real question is, WHAT are YOU talking about

I'll chip in here, extracting DNA and extracting enough quality DNA to be suitable to make a positive identification of an individual are two distinct things.
I don't doubt that bone will yield some DNA. Whether or not that DNA will be sufficient to identify it as belonging to a certain person depends on the conditions it was stored in. If it was fragmented and left sitting in moist conditions for that time - and it most certainly was fragmented - then it is possible the DNA it contains will be too degraded to be of much use.
